SummitPaw Prong Collar for Dogs With Chrome Plated Steel Rubber Tip Prongs
The SummitPaw prong collar with chrome-plated steel prongs capped by rubber tips is a mechanical training device designed to curb excessive pulling and enhance command responsiveness through tactile feedback. It creates a circumferential cue on the neck that ends as soon as leash tension is released, guiding the dog toward calmer, more controlled walks.
How it works
It employs an equidistant pressure distribution system, engineered with interlocking metal links that apply uniform pressure around the neck. This design prevents tracheal compression and reduces the pinpoint stress associated with traditional slip chains.
Materials and construction
- Rubber-encapsulated contact points: Each steel prong is fitted with a removable high-density rubber tip to protect the skin while still delivering the corrective cue.
- Chrome-plated high-tensile steel: Built to resist corrosion and withstand high-force pulls and environmental moisture without compromising structural integrity.
- Adjustable link calibration: The modular link system enables precise sizing by adding or removing links to match the animal’s neck morphology.

Operational safety
This hardware is intended for active training sessions only. Do not leave the collar on an unattended canine. Ensure the collar is positioned high on the neck, directly behind the ears and under the jawline for effective mechanical leverage. Regularly inspect rubber tips for wear and replace them if the metal core becomes exposed.
